In the wake of the Paris attacks, many have reached out to try and help the victims, their families and all those in the French capital affected by the horrific terrorist attacks across the city.
You can use social media or donate to a charity.
Facebook Profile Filter
Similar to the rainbow filter that was used to show support for marriage equality, Facebook is allowing users to place the colors of the Paris flag over their current profile picture as a sort of filter. In your timeline, if someone uses the filter, the image will include a button on the bottom right hand side labeled, "Try it." Clicking it will take you to the "causes" feature of Facebook. Select "France" and adjust the blue, white, and red filter to correctly lay over your image. Click, "Use As Profile Picture," and Facebook will update your Facebook with the new image.

Parisians love their city. You can show your support using a personal photo of Paris and including a story of your own experience with the city of love as your profile picture.

It will be a long road to recovery for France and the city of Paris, but showing the international community supports them is likely a small help in the face of this unimaginable tragedy.

Friends of Fondation de France, Inc.
Friends of Fondation de France, Inc. offers an easier way for those in the U.S. to donate to charities across France. The French Secours Populaire and the Secours Catholique-Caritas France don’t process American credit cards, but Friends of Fondation de France, Inc. does.
You can donate to the foundation here, selecting a one-time donation or set up a recurring payment.
More charities are likely to come forward and pledge their support for Paris in the coming days but, for now, these four are your best options.
Between 100 and 150 people were killed in Paris last night in six coordinated terrorist attacks across the city.
Donate Blood
As of Saturday, French officials announced the official death toll of the Paris attacks to be a tragic 129. An additional 352 individuals have been injured, with 99 of those injured remaining in critical condition. If you are in Paris or in neighboring communities, you can donate blood to the French National Blood Service, and use the app Don du Sang à Paris for additional information on where to go and how to help.
